The UVU Center for Social Impact partners with a wide range of community organizations and leaders to address social issues through the Six Pathways of Social Impact.

As a community partner, you will be included in our opportunity database to post volunteer, internship, and job opportunities.

We also feature partners at our on-campus events and in interactive off-campus programs like Alternative Breaks, where students engage directly with community leaders.

Become a Community Partner

To become an official community partner with the UVU Center for Social Impact, start by reaching out to Jamey Williams at . She will schedule you for a 30-minute alignment call where you will receive an overview of the CSI’s values, get a chance to articulate your organization’s theory of change, and discuss potential partnership alignment.

If aligned, you will receive a confirmation email with a Values Alignment Agreement and instructions for UVU CampusGroups registration. Once the agreement is signed and your information is submitted, your student-facing listing will go live in our opportunity database, and your official partnership will begin.

Program Expectations

  • Visibility through our newsletter and the UVU CampusGroups opportunity database
  • Training on social impact strategies like impact measurement and systems and design thinking
  • Collaboration on student-led initiatives and service-learning faculty projects
  • Connection with the Community Partner Microsoft Teams hub
  • First access to the SIMLab assessment program
  • Use of the CSI office space and Fulton Library resources

Commitment

Community Partners are expected to:

  • Renew their Values Agreement and Campus Groups registration annually
  • Update their opportunity database listing monthly with relevant volunteer, internship, and job opportunities
  • Attend biannual Community Partner Convenings in January and August
  • Be open to collaboration opportunities like guest speaking, panels, data collection, and site visits
  • Be contacted by CSI student leaders for mentorship or informational interviews.
