The Department of Public Health provides quality engaged learning experiences to prepare students to successfully and professionally serve within the K-12 school system, health care facilities, governmental and non-governmental organizations, and local and global communities.
The Department of Public Health is located on the UVU West Campus (987 S. Geneva Road, Orem), in the 101 office suite of the Health Professions Building. Since receiving approval for the department’s three degrees from the Utah State Board of Regents in 2005, the Department of Public Health has been committed to providing quality learning experiences to hundreds of students over the years. Safe Kids Worldwide is a nonprofit organization working to help families and communities keep kids safe from injuries. Most people are surprised to learn preventable injuries are the #1 killer of kids in the United States. Throughout the world, almost one million children die of an injury each year, and almost every one of these tragedies is preventable.
