About

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program at Utah Valley University prepares students to become licensed Physical Therapist Assistants. Students must complete prerequisite courses along with shadowing hours before being accepted to the PTA program. Once admitted, students complete 4 semesters of rigorous coursework and clinical practice. Upon graduation, students earn a Specialized Associate of Applied Science (SAAS) in Physical Therapist Assistant and are eligible to sit for the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE) to obtain their PTA license. Graduates of the PTA program may also pursue further education and career advancements in the field of physical therapy. Entry into the PTA program is determined through a competitive application process.
