Congratulations to our two UVU Ethics Bowl Teams that recently competed at the Wasatch Regional Ethics Bowl held at Utah State University on November 11, 2023. Coached by Jeff Nielsen and Kaitlyn Russell, both teams performed exceptionally. The Verde team won the event with a record-breaking 69-point differential and will be heading to Nationals in Cincinatti, Ohio in the spring (for the fifth year running)! The Green team was also excellent and represented the University admirably.

Faculty mentor Karen Mizell noted the hard work put in by both teams, "as many of the students practiced with the Utah Prison Education Project team, and brought a challenging body of philosophical and ethical knowledge to the event."

UVU President Astrid Tuminez also gave the Ethics Bowl program a special shout-out, noting that she was "very proud of our students and grateful for the faculty members and mentors!"
