Anthony Steinbock: "The Exemplar in Value Cognition and Sense Perception"

Tony Steinbock, Chair of Stony Brook University and Director of the Phenomenology Research Center, will be giving a talk: “The Exemplar in Value Cognition and Sense Perception,” on February 15, from 4:00-5:30 p.m. in CB 513.

This presentation treats the phenomenon of value-cognition. Tony will describe the relation of meaning to value, the role of the feeling in value-cognition, and how value-feeling is given within an interpersonal framework. To this end the presentation will examine the efficacy of exemplarity for value-cognition and perceptual sense.
