UVU is committed to educating the whole student. We prioritize efforts to shape the university as an inclusive institution, a place where people of all religions, spiritual communities, and ethical perspectives are welcomed and supported.
A designated space for meditation, prayer, reflection, and other forms of individual
expression. The Reflection Center hosts events and opportunities for dialogue, education,
and spiritual practice.
From excursions at local places of worship to public forums across worldviews, the
council works to strengthen understanding of religious diversity and develop skills
for meaningful and inclusive dialogue.
UVU offers a variety of courses that explore religious diversity and cross cultural
engagement. Students may pursue an Interreligious Studies Certificate that combines
coursework with research or service activities.
As part of Intercultural engagement, UVU hosts faculty workshops entitled Religious and Worldview Diversity to support inclusive pedagogy and enhance classroom engagement.
UVU has developed partnerships with local organizations that cultivate understanding across religious boundaries and which further the engagement mission of the university. The organizations below are active partners in connecting UVU students, faculty and staff with these important community resources.
UVU receives input and consultation from our Interfaith Community Advisory Council. This group consists of religious and community leaders committed to advancing interfaith education and outreach. The university partners with this group to host the annual Community Interfaith Breakfast and related events.
