UVU's free Spanish GED program prepares Spanish-speaking adults in the community with the skills needed to successfully pass the section of the GED. The focus is on the GED Math portion and the program also offers a Social Studies course.
UVU GED classes are free, and classes are 100% in Spanish. The program is open to adults 18 and older, not high school students.
Adult GED classes in Spanish are held in person in UVU’s Liberal Arts Building, rooms LA 105 and 106. Classes meet every Saturday except for holiday weekends. New attendees are welcome to stop by during class to meet the tutors and observe the class.
Spanish GED classes start with beginning chapters in August and January. You can begin classes at any point during the year and circle back to the beginning of the course later.

The GED is taken in 4 different sections. The weekly Spanish GED classes are free, but each section costs $36 to take at the UVU Testing Center.
The four sections of the GED are Math, Language Arts, Social Studies, and Science. After you pass the Math section of the GED, you have one year to finish the other three sections.
Any Spanish speaking adult in need of a Spanish GED are welcome to join the class at any point during the year. You do not need to sign up to begin attending classes. Walk-in students are welcome.
