UVU's Woodbury School of Business online and online-plus Accounting programs will help you gain the foundational skills needed to begin and build a fulfilling and dynamic career in accounting. Our program seamlessly blends theory with practical application, providing you not only with necessary knowledge and skills, but proficiency in utilizing your skills in the workplace. UVU’s Accounting program is an IMA Endorsed Program, meaning that curriculum in our Accounting degrees meet rigorous professional standards.

What You'll Learn

ONLINE-PLUS CERTIFICATE of Accounting

Upon completion, you’ll be equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to perform in the business environment, including:

  • Knowledge of basic business math
  • Knowledge of accounting, spreadsheets, and accounting software
  • Foundational business skills in communication, presentation, and critical thinking.

ONLINE-PLUS ASSOCIATE of SCIENCE in Accounting

When you graduate, you’ll be career-ready with a comprehensive skill set that includes:

  • How to process and apply accounting transactions into an accounting system.
  • Preparing basic financial statements manually and within an accounting system.
  • Analyzing results of financial information via ratios, relationships, and variance analysis to aid decision making.
  • Applying general principles of ethics to solve problems in the accounting business environment.

Online-PLUS programs enhance the student experience by combining online, flexible, and in-person learning formats. These programs may include online classes, live video sessions, field or clinical experiences, or a mix of these. UVU Online provides a top-quality education for in-state and out-of-state students:

Fully online undergraduate students residing within the state of Utah while attending classes pay the same tuition rates as students attending in-person classes, as determined by their residency designation.

I am an undergraduate student residing OUTSIDE of the state of Utah

Fully online undergraduate students residing outside of the state of Utah while attending classes pay a flat tuition rate of $270 per credit.

(Must be residing within the United States. Non U.S. citizens residing internationally do not qualify for the flat tuition rate.)

UVU offers credit for prior learning (CPL) to enable students to enrich or accelerate their programs of study. CPL is inclusive and validates students' prior education, making education more affordable and accessible.
