October water samples at Utah Lake show the dangerous algal outbreak continues. It’s autumn, and it is still not safe to recreate in many parts of the lake.
Experts on Utah Lake’s sustainability will speak about the latest research — and the lake’s future — at Utah Valley University as part of Sustainability Day Oct. 24 at 2 p.m. in SC 206.The panel includes Kevin Shurtleff, Ph.D., who is exploring an algal harvesting solution.
