Nationally known broadcast journalist to address UVU’s Utah Women’s Speaker & Dialogue Series

Registration is underway for the latest community event from the Utah Women’s Speaker & Dialogue Series at Utah Valley University. National broadcast journalist Jane Clayson Johnson will speak on “Silent Souls Weeping: Emerging from Depression with Strength and Hope.”

Johnson’s upcoming book, “Silent Souls Weeping,” is a candid look inside the core-shaking world of depression. She addresses the desperate, dark, and lonely reality faced by those who struggle with clinical depression.

Women 12 and older and those who influence them are invited to attend the event, which will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2019, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the Grande Ballroom of UVU’s Sorensen Center. There is no cost to attend, but those who wish to come should register at www.utwomen.org.

Johnson, a best-selling author who is known for her decades of work at CBS News, ABC News, and National Public Radio, has drawn upon numerous real-life experiences to open a dialogue with honesty, authenticity, and hope for those who suffer.

The event will conclude with light refreshments and an opportunity for attendees to share thoughts about what they have learned. Johnson’s address will be livestreamed, and video recordings will be available at www.uen.org, www.utwomen.org, and will be rebroadcast on UEN-TV, channel 9.1.
