UVU entepreneuers display their companies at VentureCon

Utah Valley University’s Student Business Tradeshow, VentureCon, will allow students to show off their businesses to students, buyers, and potential investors on Thursday, March 1 in UVU’s Hall of Flags, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.

UVU’s first VentureCon was in spring 2017 and this is the third semester the event has been put on. The industries that VentureCon will feature are widespread, ranging from clothing apps, education, skin care products, transportation, technology and more.

“This event allows students to gain exposure for their businesses but also obtain validation for their ideas,” said Meagan Sanders of the Entreprnuriship Institute on campus. “It is important for community members to see and gain interest in upcoming businesses coming from UVU and for other students to see what their peers are doing and think ‘I can do that too.’”

VentureCon aims to give UVU students the opportunity to test their product or business idea with potential customers by gauging interest through real market testing. Spots are still available for students to register to display their business.

Goods will be available for purchase from the UVU businesses. More information on parking and registration can be found on https://www.eventbrite.com/e/venturecon-uvu-student-business-trade-show-tickets-42549427483.
