Family, faculty, friends, and scholarship recipients alike will join together in honor of Heather Kahlert at the reception for the sixth annual Rainmaker Award at Utah Valley University. The ceremony will take place in the university’s Fulton Library from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Feb. 21.
The award recognizes women who have greatly impacted the lives of UVU students through considerable donations and fundraising efforts. Recipients are recognized for their courage, success, and ability to inspire and enable women to complete a degree-based education.
Kahlert’s contributions to UVU include providing partial scholarships to more than 50 female students, supporting the construction of the Melisa Nellesen Center for Autism, and serving as an advisory board member for the Women’s Success Center. She also serves as an advisory board member for the University of Utah, a board member for Alpine School District and Make a Wish Utah, the vice president of the Kahlert Foundation, and the Chair of Utah Philanthropy Day.
Previous Rainmaker recipients include UVU First Lady Paige Holland, Barbara Barrington Jones, and Janis Lindley.
Because of Kahlert’s support, UVU’s Women’s Success Center can continue to serve students of all backgrounds, regardless of their age, ethnicity, race, religion, or status in life, and engage them in academic programs that prepare them for meaningful lifework in their homes, workplaces, communities, and beyond.

They offer many services including: support, advocacy, individual success coaching, scholarship assistance, leadership opportunities and more.
