Bakhtiyor Ibragimov, as part of the International Dignitary Lecture Series at Utah Valley University, will visit campus to address the topic of Foreign Policy Priorities of the “New Government of Uzbekistan,” on Monday, Feb. 5, at 2 p.m. at the Center for Global and Intercultural Engagement (CGIE), LA 116.
Ibragimov is the new permanent representative and ambassador to the United Nations from Uzbekistan. He was previously the Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy in Seol, Republic of Korea.
During Ibragimov’s visit, he will also be meeting with Lieutenant Governor Spencer J. Cox, and business, community, and religious leaders.
The next event put on by UVU’s Office for Global Engagement will be a visit from Franz J. Sedelmayer, notable for his legal case against President Vladimir Putin and the Russian Federation on Februrary 8, at 11:30 a.m. at UVU’s Centre Stage.
