Utah Valley University’s School of the Arts, in conjunction with the UVU Opera, is proud to present “Operatizers.” The performance will be held in Centre Stage on April 28, at 7:30 p.m.
Created with food and song in mind, “Operatizers,” attendees will be offered appetizers from the countries represented in the scenes being performed.
Isaac Hurtado, assistant professor and director of opera, said, “This event will showcase the fresh, young, and exciting voices that have joined UVU’s opera program in the last two years.” He continued, “Many have yet to be heard in our productions, but will soon become stars in the program.”
The production will be emceed by Metropolitain Opera tenor and television personality Anthony Laciura. Highlights from “Candide,” “Merry Widow,” “Die Fledermaus,” and more will be performed while samples with French, German, and Hungarian flavors are served.
The performance of “Operatizers,” will be held in Centre Stage on April 28, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for the event are $15 for the general public and $10 for students.
