UVU student travels to London to speak at innovation expo

Noel Lopez, a senior studying marketing and management at Utah Valley University, traveled to London in March for the Sales Innovation Expo to speak on the topic “Employee Engagement Leads to High Performance.”

The Sales Innovation Expo in London is one of the largest expos where leaders from companies like IBM, Microsoft, Oracle, and others who specialize in sales, marketing, technology, advertising, and more, come together to share their knowledge and network with others.

Lopez was the youngest presenter at the expo and was there representing Utah Valley and the current company he works for, Boomsourcing.com, as Marketing Manager.

“UVU set me up for success 100 percent,” said Lopez. “Silicon Slopes always has conferences like SLCSEM, which UVU students should definitely attend; those conferences are where you make some of the best connections.”

Lopez was the owner of a necktie brand, The Town and Co, which he founded as a freshman in college and recently sold. In May at the Unleash outreach conference in San Diego, Lopez will present on new sales methods to reach out to prospective clients specifically focused on social media.
