Department of Health Sciences Achieves Accreditation from the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching

   

Orem, Utah – Utah Valley University’s College of Health and Public Service, a leader in educating the next generation of health professionals, has received accreditation from the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching (NBHWC). This prestigious accreditation recognizes UVU’s commitment to maintaining the highest standards in preparing students to meet workforce demands in healthcare careers across Utah and nationwide.

The NBHWC accreditation is a testament to the university’s dedication to excellence and continuous efforts to meet and exceed educational and industry standards. Achieving this accreditation involved rigorous evaluation and adherence to strict criteria, showcasing UVU Health Sciences’ unique programs and commitment to higher education in all industries.

This accreditation is significant in the health and wellness industry as it highlights the school’s dedication to maintaining specific standards and UVU’s motivation to provide the best education to students. It will also allow UVU to develop new partnerships and provide career-ready, qualified graduates for the expanding areas of preventive healthcare and lifestyle medicine.

Graduates of the program are eligible to apply for the HWC Certifying Examination to become a National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC). This advanced credential will enable graduates to compete for top positions and maintain their designation as industry experts.
