OREM, Utah — Lexi Shipley, a student at Utah Valley University’s (UVU) Woodbury School of Business (WSB), was named one of only 13 students nationally to receive the $10,000 RIA Talent Advantage Student Scholarship, funded by Schwab Advisor Services in partnership with the Charles Schwab Foundation.

“Financial planning has a profound impact on people’s lives. Through my time in UVU’s PFP program and my professional experience, I’ve seen its benefits in our community. I hope to use my passion for financial planning in the RIA industry to help people from all backgrounds secure their financial futures and inspire others to pursue their career goals,” Shipley said.
“We are proud of Lexi’s achievement and her dedication to the field of personal financial planning,” said Bob Allen, dean of the WSB. “This scholarship is a testament to her hard work and commitment to excellence.”
Rachel Bi, chair of UVU’s Department of Finance and Economics, added, “Lexi’s selection for this prestigious scholarship is a reflection of her passion for the RIA industry and her potential to make a positive impact in the profession.”
