Cameron Archibald, a faculty member in the Woodbury School of Business, has been hired as UVU associate vice president of commercial and auxiliary services, with a focus on diversifying the university’s revenue sources. He will report to Jim Mortensen, UVU vice president of finance.
Cameron has served as a Dean’s Executive in Residence at the Woodbury School of Business since 2023, overseeing the growth of the school’s real estate program. Additionally, Cameron is the president of Teton Strategy Group, a consulting firm that provides corporate finance and strategic expertise to family offices, investment funds, and growth companies.
“We are excited to have Cameron Archibald join our executive team in this new and very key position. Universities face significant challenges in acquiring the resources to meet the needs of diversifying student populations, a rapidly evolving economy, and increasing community expectations. Under Cameron’s leadership, we will explore innovative partnerships and funding opportunities that will allow us to expand our offerings for students and the community while keeping tuition low,” Mortensen said. Cameron will begin his new position on June 10.
Previously, Cameron was the CEO of a supply chain consultancy, served in government roles on a state, federal, and international level, and held leadership positions in banking, real estate development, and for the Utah Jazz.
He holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in economics from the University of Utah and is a graduate of the Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford. Cameron is an active supporter of the performing and visual arts and serves on several non-profit boards.
