The Utah Valley University (UVU) Third Annual Sustainability Summit will be Tuesday, April 9, 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Clarke Building (CB), 510/511 on the main Orem Campus.
The Utah Valley University (UVU) Third Annual Sustainability Summit will be Tuesday, April 9, 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Clarke Building (CB), 510/511 on the main Orem Campus. UVU students, faculty, staff, community members and industry leaders are invited to attend.
The all-day summit will include a series of panels and speakers who will address sustainability as it pertains to government, business, the Great Salt Lake, interfaith, and UVU.
Some of the speakers and panelists include Tom Westmoreland, mayor, Eagle Mountain; Carolyn Lundberg, mayor, Lindon City and vice chair of the Utah Lake Authority; Jonathan Westover, professor and chair of the Organizational Leadership Department, Utah Valley University; Ben Abbott, executive director, Grow the Flow and associate professor, Brigham Young University; Jenica Sedgwick, sustainability manager, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; Glen Garrick, systems sustainability director, Intermountain Health; Rita Reed, principal advisor of sustainability, Rio Tinto Kennecott.
The summit is designed to unite a diverse range of stakeholders to explore and champion sustainable practices, ultimately enhancing our quality of life. Together, attendees will have the opportunity to foster dialogue, share knowledge, and collaborate on solutions to address environmental, economic, and social challenges.
