Francine Jensen, an associate professor of nursing at Utah Valley University, was named one of Utah Business’s 22 Healthcare Heroes of 2023, an honor given to healthcare workers who have made it their mission to improve health in Utah.
Francine Jensen, an associate professor of nursing at Utah Valley University, was named one of Utah Business’s 22 Healthcare Heroes of 2023, an honor given to healthcare workers who have made it their mission to improve health in Utah. Jensen was presented with the honor on Oct. 24 at the Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake City.
Jensen has taught hundreds of nursing students in more than 100 courses that address adult health needs, skills labs, care coordination and management, and undergraduate research. She has received a Dean’s Excellence Award and a Faculty Senate Excellence Award and serves as the undergraduate program coordinator at UVU.
“We are excited that Dr. Francine Jensen was selected as one of Utah Business’s Healthcare Heroes,” said Cheryl Hanewicz, dean of UVU’s College of Health and Public Service. “She is passionate about her profession and dedicated to ensuring our students receive the best education possible. She is one of the best educators I have worked with, and her dedication shines through every day.”
