Student Communication Event System Updates

As a result of a university-wide review of student communication, we are implementing changes to the process for entering and promoting events.

Dear Faculty and Staff,

As a result of a university-wide review of student communication, we are implementing changes to the process for entering and promoting events. These changes are intended to improve the student experience and will likely increase student participation by reducing the volume of messages and standardizing the location of events for the campus community in myUVU and the student mobile app.

Beginning immediately, all university events will need to be entered through 25Live — UVU's event system — for publishing to the university websites and student app. Event enterers will coordinate with their respective MarCom representative or designee to promote any event. You can view all events at uvu.edu/events.

University Marketing is partnering with UVUSA in promoting the student app and myUVU to drive students to university events. It is vital that we unite as an organization, populate events to this system, and get our students involved in the wonderful opportunities we’re offering them! This change will not impact the ability for faculty to communicate with their students.

Watch the following helpful video on how to enter and promote an event in 25Live:

If you have questions, please contact your MarCom representative or event designee in your area.
