Happy holidays, Wolverines! The UVU Professional Association for Campus Employees (PACE) hosted a holiday “Jingle and Mingle” event on Dec. 14 in the UCCU Center for all Utah Valley University staff, complete with food, entertainment, prizes, and lots of holiday cheer!
“PACE Holiday Social is one of my favorite events at UVU,” said Daniel Delgadillo, PACE president and director of culture and talent. “It’s an opportunity to come together, thank staff employees for their dedication, and celebrate accomplishments from the year. We hope that all that came had a great time with friends and colleagues and felt our appreciation for them."
President Astrid S. Tuminez thanked campus employees for the work they do to keep campus running.
“I cannot look at the sea of faces here without feeling great gratitude for things that you’ve done every day,” Tuminez said. “All of the support happens because of you, and I hope you know how appreciated you are.”
The event’s program included performances from Kekau Arakaki, event services technical director, who sang the “Hawaiian Twelve Days of Christmas;” ugly sweater and festive wear contests; crossword puzzles; and bingo.
“We want every staff member to feel that appreciation and to feel connected to the university so they’re in a better mind space to serve the students to the best of their ability,” said Julia Escobar, PACE event chair and office of inclusion and diversity admin.
Thank you, PACE and UVU employees for helping make our campus great.
