Utah Valley University’s Museum of Art often features the work of talented students and world-renowned artists. From now through December 13, The Museum's website is home to work from a different group: UVU’s incredible Department of Art & Design faculty.
The 2022 Faculty Art Exhibition features 71 new works from 37 Art & Design faculty members. The works are available to view online at uvu.edu/museum.
“In this collection of new works, The UVU School of Art & Design faculty exemplify the enduring value of the visual arts,” said Lisa Anderson, director of The UVU Museum of Art. “The ability of art to reflect the tumultuous currents of social change, while exploring introspective and abstract lines of inquiry, are both amply represented in The 2022 Faculty Art Exhibition.”
To cultivate the creation and appreciation of visual art, The UVU Department of Art & Design fosters creative confidence, critical thinking, interdisciplinary collaboration, and cultural responsibility. The department follows the principles of visual literacy, professional excellence, and creative diversity.
“Through their professionalism and craftsmanship, the faculty of The School of Art & Design set a wonderful example for their students,” Anderson said. “We encourage you to learn more about the artists and fully explore this digital exhibition at uvu.edu/museum.”
