As we continue our focus on achieving Vision 2030, it’s essential that we foster a culture that reflects our values of exceptional care, exceptional accountability, and exceptional results. With this in mind, we are pleased to announce the following leadership changes in the Division of People and Culture.

Dr. Rasha Qudisat has accepted the position of chief inclusion and diversity officer (CIDO). She has displayed outstanding leadership and vision as the interim CIDO for the past three months. Her vision includes growing, nurturing, and sustaining an inclusive culture where differences are leveraged to drive innovation and learning to meet the needs of all of UVU's communities. Through her leadership, the Office of Inclusion has begun designing a measurement system to develop targeted, results-based programming to address critical issues and better provide learning and innovation resources for educational plans and career development. By building on existing equity, inclusion, and diversity work and adopting a bottom-up approach, the office will expand support for UVU's communities. We are excited to see the collaboration across campus under her leadership. Dr. Qudisat will report to Marilyn Meyer, vice president of People and Culture, and will serve as a member of the presidential cabinet.

Daniel Delgadillo is now the director of Culture and Talent and will report directly to Marilyn Meyer. Daniel will lead the creation and implementation of strategies and programs that align with the university's mission, enhance UVU's culture, and improve the employee experience. He will continue to lead the organizational development group and will now oversee the workforce planning group, which is responsible for recruitment and hiring.

Daniel is a seasoned leader who has worked at UVU for more than 15 years. Regarding this new role, he said, "I'm grateful for the trust given to me to lead a new team and shape the culture here at UVU. As we strive to be among the best-in-state employers, it is important that leaders empower others and create a culture of belonging."

Please join us in congratulating Rasha and Daniel on their new positions and responsibilities.

Warmest regards,
