Construction in the Sorensen Student Center continues and will affect pedestrian access to both the first and second floors. A map of alternate pedestrian routes as well as elevator and stair access can be found on the map below.
First floor: Access to the courtyard, food court restrooms, and the interior concourse between the food court and the Losee Center is closed. The lower food court can be accessed through a temporary hallway located across from the UCCU banking branch. The UVU Store can also be accessed through this temporary hallway as well as the step-down lounge just north of the satellite police station. The exterior entrance (in the Student Life plaza) has a pedestrian tunnel to access the north entrance (near the Center for Social Impact). The Center for Social Impact and Sorensen Student Center administration offices will remain open during construction.
Second floor: The exterior concourse between the Losee Center and the Pope Science Building is closed. The food court will remain open and can be accessed from the SC 206 conference rooms hallway. The Post Office is temporarily located in SC 214, and Campus Connection is temporarily located in the Ballroom upper commons. The computer lab and Student Health Services will remain open during the construction.
In order for crews to access the construction site, 22 stalls in parking lot L13 (between the Student Life & Wellness Center and the Fulton Library) will be reserved for Big-D Construction.
