Laptop & Hotspot Checkout

Free laptops and hotspots? Say less. Avoid buying a new laptop by checking one out at the first-floor Circulation Desk, starting August 20th. We offer semester-long laptop and hotspot checkouts (while supplies last), so you don’t have to stress about the additional cost for the entire semester. Stop by the first-floor Circulation Desk to learn more.

Equipment Checkout

Whether you want to start a podcast, dabble in videography, or ace a presentation, Fulton Library has the free equipment you need for a fun (and frugal!) semester. With over 85 items to choose from—like GoPros, microphones, telescopes, and more—equipment checkout offers so many free perks. Check out our equipment page for more!

Research Resources

Librarian Research Help

Did you know you can get one-on-one research help from a librarian? Our librarians can save the day at any stage of the research process, including brainstorming ideas, developing search strategies, using library databases, and citing sources. Make an in-person or online appointment in advance, drop by the first-floor Research Help Desk, or simply send us a text at 801-290-8123.

Online Resources

Although not much tops the incredible 4th floor views, cozy study pods, and in-person services of the library, research resources are also available 24/7 on our website. Check out our research guides, which cover subject-specific research tips, and don’t forget about our upcoming workshops on AI-assisted research, which dive into the latest college-approved AI hacks.

Quiet Study Spaces

Study Rooms

Whether you need to take a test, attend a virtual lecture, and collaborate on a group project, reserving a study room can set you up for success. These private rooms have whiteboards, presentation screens, and room for yourself or a group. Reserve a study room up to four hours per day and six days in advance!

Study Pods

Pro tip for the semester: if you’re looking for an individual study spot, hop in a study pod. Located on the first and third floors of the library, study pods don’t require reservations, so you can study between classes or whenever you have a free minute. Keep in mind that the study pods are insulated but not soundproof, so you’ll still need to keep a low volume to respect other patrons.

Family Study Suite

With a restroom, changing station, lactation room, and play area, the family study suite is perfect for students with children. Designed for the unique needs of student parents, the suite also has computers, printers, and study rooms. The family study suite is reserved for adults with children, and children cannot be in the room unaccompanied.

Questions?

We’re excited to see you in the library this semester! If you have questions about any of these services, visit the Circulation Desk or give us a call at 801-863-8883.
