Accessing your UVU Outlook account on the web is easy and convenient. Once setup is complete, you may install Outlook on your devices. To set up your UVU Outlook account for the first time, follow this process:   

1. Browse to outlook.office.com.  
2. Enter your username as [UVID]@uvu.edu and your current UVU password at the login prompt.
3. You may be prompted to enter a new password. Your new password must meet the following requirements:
   • Contain a minimum of 14 characters  
   • Contain at least one upper-case letter [A-Z] 
   • Contain at least one lower-case letter [a-z] 
   • Contain at least one number [0-9] 
   • Contain at least one symbol [~!@#$%^] 
4. Add an authentication device to protect your account from risky logins. 
5. Set up a self-service password recovery phone and/or email. If you forget your password, you can reset it yourself at your convenience.   
6. You will enter the Outlook web inbox. From here you may download Microsoft 365 to your computer, tablet, and/or smartphone.

Setting Up Student Email on a Mobile Device

Do not attempt to forward mail from your UVU student email account to a personal account. For security reasons, redirected mail is blocked at the system level. If you attempt to redirect communications, important messages may be deleted or lost.
