The Interfaith Student Council (IFSC) is comprised of 10 UVU students who collaborate with organizations across campus and within the larger community to increase religious literacy, grow respect for every individual worldview, and build understanding cooperative relationships.
The Interfaith Student Council is a student leadership opportunity for those interested in gaining leadership experience in the context of religious and worldview differences.
Interfaith Student Council members are expected to spend 6-8 hours per week in interfaith leadership activities, including attending council and committee meetings, participation in various interfaith engagement events, and various project commitments.
IFSC members must have availability on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3-5 PM for weekly council meetings and office hours.
After attending trainings and retreats in the summer, the council spends the entirety of the academic school year practicing skills of interfaith leadership, including but not limited to:
Council members receive the equivalent of the in-state rate for half of tuition in fall and spring semesters. The co-presidents receive the equivalent of the in-state rate for full tuition in fall and spring semesters.
Applications for the 2025-26 Council will open on March 1.
