Dr. James Mestaz will be speaking  March 18 in CB 510 from 4-5:30 p.m. His talk will focus on his recently-published book, Strength From the Waters: A History of Indigenous Mobilization in Northwest Mexico, published by the University of Nebraska Press in 2022.

The event is part of the History program’s “Turning Points in History” speaker series. Each semester nationally-prominent historians join us at UVU to share their ideas and work with our students, faculty, and the surrounding community. All are welcome to attend this lecture.
