The Honors Program at Utah Valley University (UVU) offers a unique living experience through a partnership with a local apartment complex, creating an Honors Residential Community. This community is specifically designed for Honors students, allowing them to reside in a stimulating academic and social environment. Students awarded with housing live at The Green on Campus Drive, conveniently located just across from the Noorda Theater and the Computer Science Building.

In this vibrant community, students are not “just neighbors,” but also classmates and collaborators. They are divided into seven "Pods," each consisting of sixteen students who are all members of the UVU Honors Program. This close-knit setup fosters a strong sense of camaraderie and mutual support.

Beyond just a place to live, the Honors Residential Community is a hub of intellectual and social activity. Resident Leaders from the Honors Program actively engage students not only in the Honors Housing Colloquium class but also through various residential activities and gatherings. This creates numerous opportunities for students to connect deeply with their peers and enhance their educational experience.

Research suggests that students who engage in such learning communities benefit greatly—they tend to earn higher grades, graduate on time, and feel more connected to their university. These communities provide curricular coherence, integrative learning, collaborative knowledge construction, and skills relevant to navigating a complex, diverse world.

While living in Honors Housing is not mandatory, it is an option available to those who apply and are accepted into the Honors Program. This unique living arrangement is an excellent opportunity for students seeking an enriched college experience.
