Hailing from San Antonio, Texas, Robert L. Santos currently serves as Director of the U.S. Census Bureau. His professional career spans more than 40 years, including top-level leadership positions at the Urban Institute, University of Chicago’s National Opinion Research Center, University of Michigan, and Temple University. Santos specializes in quantitative and qualitative research design, including program evaluation, needs assessments, survey methodology, and survey operations.
