2021-2022 Graduation Ceremonies

We celebrate our students' hard work and dedication to success with our graduation ceremonies that are held once a year at the end of the Spring term. The Spring 2022 commencement and convocations will be held on Friday, May 6, 2022.  Graduates, family, and friends unable to attend in person are invited to watch commencement as it is live streamed from campus.

 

Attention (Graduates Must Register)

Graduates must register to participate in UVU's Graduation Ceremonies. Ceremony registration is now closed until Spring 2022. 

When registration opens Spring participants must, register as a member of uvualumni.org, then fill out the ceremony registration form to sign up for the ceremonies you will be walking in.  Your college/school will reserve your spot and you will be add to the email list for future ceremony details. 

 

Public Ceremony Information

Commencement
TBD

  • All UVU graduates participate together in this ceremony.
  • President Astrid S. Tuminez,  the keynote speaker, and others will address the graduates and audience.
  • During this ceremony, all the graduates will stand as a group and then be congratulated and instructed to move their tassels from the right to the left side of their caps.

 

Convocations
TBD

  • Each participating students/graduates will be recognized in this ceremony.
  • Each graduate's name will be announced as the graduate walks across the green carpet to receive a diploma cover.

Parking on Campus

Guests and graduates will be able to park in any legal parking space on campus for free on the day of Commencement and the day of Convocation. Any cars parked illegally will be ticketed.
