The Caleb Dee Lane Endowed Scholarship was established by his family in 2021 to honor, what would have been, the year of Caleb’s high school graduation and entrance into university. This scholarship is to benefit those students who participated in UVU PREP, which he loved; or who enjoy Science, Technology, Engineering and Math, as he did.
Caleb Lane, “Dees”, hated the work but loved the results. Anything related to math, physics, or engineering fascinated and thrilled him. He loved to build and experiment. He enjoyed disassembling things to figure out how they worked. He thrived when he had a problem he could think and reason through. He had the ability to question the world around him and find the answer to why. He loved to visit NASA and never met an interactive display he didn’t like.
He attended UVU PREP the summers of 2015, 2016, and 2017. He spent his days learning math, physics, logic, and engineering. He loved every moment of this program.
Caleb was sweet and he wanted to make the world a better place. He was funny and smart and loving. This scholarship was established to continue his legacy of making the world a better place.
