JC Fiallos ’23, grew up in Honduras and was already studying in his home country when he visited Utah. While on vacation, he had the opportunity to visit Utah Valley University (UVU). During his visit he realized, “there’s something incredible about the people and the environment at UVU. It became clear to me that UVU would equip me with the tools I needed to make a positive impact on the lives of those that surrounded me in Honduras.
“Once I enrolled at UVU, I became involved in the International Student Council and served as a UVU Foundation Ambassador. These experiences gave me invaluable learning opportunities and relieved the financial burden of attending school.
“I just want to say thanks to all the donors. Your donations are well invested. I’ll try to do the best I can with all things I learn at UVU. More importantly, place the name of UVU as high as I can.”
