Utah Valley University Elder Quest members established the Elder Quest Endowed Scholarship in 2004. Elder Quest members combine their philanthropic efforts to provide scholarships for nontraditional UVU students experiencing financial hardship. This group of students includes single parents, parents needing to return to the workforce, minority students, full-time workers, and displaced workers. Applicants must be full-time students pursuing an undergraduate degree with 30+ hours of completed credit and a minimum 3.0 GPA. Preference will be given to primary caregivers with dependent children.
UVU Elder Quest, founded in 1992, is a member-driven community program that provides intellectually stimulating educational opportunities for senior learners, age 55 and up. Its mission is to provide lifelong learning experiences through peer education as well as cultural and social activities.
