The UVU Accounting Department has a growing undergraduate program focused on excellence in education and preparation for the profession.  An undergraduate scholarship endowment has been created to provide scholarships for our students.  We aim to increase our department scholarship endowment to better support our students’ ability to meet the burdens of financing a higher education degree.  With high demand for students to enter the accounting profession, we need more resources to help these students complete their undergraduate degrees.

The Master of Accountancy (MAcc) mission is to challenge all committed students to grow and develop into accounting professionals who will become leaders within the business community. Our focus aligns with UVU's overall mission of student success. Our values align with UVU's values of Exceptional Care, Exceptional Accountability, and Exceptional Results.

The MAcc qualifies students to sit for the Uniform CPA Examinations in Utah and many other states, which is a necessary step in becoming a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). It also provides a base to pursue related certifications as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), and Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). Ultimately, a MAcc can lead to a wide variety of significant leadership positions in accounting and business including controller, CFO, and CEO.

Donations will go to support student scholarships, enabling them to focus on their education and enter the workforce as quickly as possible.

The UVU Accounting Department program endowment provides funds to help support student programs and events, career readiness training, and faculty development.  There is currently a robust marketplace with great demand for students to enter the accounting profession. 

Support for our program beyond what is budgeted by the state and UVU is needed to provide for continuous improvement in a new world of accounting—including recent skills development needs like data analytics and artificial intelligence.  This exciting time in the accounting world will benefit from your support.
