Application Deadline & Fee

        December 1, 2024; $75                       Application fee is non-refundable.

Program Dates

May 29 - June 18, 2025

If you have to take math anyway; why not take it in one of the most beautiful places on earth? During this program, students will visit numerous sites on the North Island of New Zealand, including Auckland, Rotorua, and Wellington, where the concepts of Math 1030/1035 will be taught in the context of travel in general and New Zealand in particular. Students will use math to better understand their travel experience and the history, culture and common practices of New Zealand. Students will leave the program with a solid understanding of the mathematical content of their course as well as a better understanding of New Zealand and Maori culture. Most program activities will occur in Wellington, and will include museums, hikes, beaches, a wildlife sanctuary, and sailing. Though the program will occur during the Southern Hemisphere winter, New Zealand's temperate weather will still be comfortable.
