February 1, 2025; $75 Application fee is non-refundable.
June 23 - July 14, 2025
Students will be exposed to a myriad of experiences and research that can be found in the blended Christian, Arabic, Roman, and Jewish cultures. It is impressive to learn how some very strong communities coming from several parts of the globe have created a new society and traditions in a prosperous country.
Students will experience how these cultures have survived from generation to generation and combined with modern influences have created a new economy that has revolutionized global markets. Learn of interwoven traditions deepened in the core of the Spanish culture to support and make advances in technology, economy, and also making a difference in global markets never explored before. It is the perfect setting for students to appreciate the depth of the Spanish language, its influence in the world, and why it is one of the three most spoken languages in the world.
It is important to notice that Spanish is spoken by 7.5% of the world's population, or 595 million people. This includes 496 million native speakers, who make up 6.3% of the world's population, and 75 million non-native speakers and learners. We, in the United States, have a community over 60 million Spanish-speaking people, and it is the ethnic group with most rapid growth in population. It is therefore imperative that we get our students prepared for the future ahead of us.
We have day trips to selected sites where students can learn about the development and progress of the Spanish culture and appreciate the variety of cultures that left their fingerprints in the Iberican peninsula.
Students will visit Barcelona, Tarragona, Madrid, Toledo, Segovia, Granada, Sevilla, and Cordoba.
