The UVU Forum on Engaged Reading is seeking proposals for our 2022 For the Love of Reading Conference breakout sessions!

Presentations will be delivered on November 3rd or 4th at Zermatt Resort in Midway, Utah.

We look forward to showcasing the expertise of local literacy experts, university and K-12 educators, librarians, and other members of our community who are passionate about instilling a love of reading in Utah’s children and helping them improve their literacy skills. Presentations are generally 45 minutes in length. 

Possible presentation topics might include (but are not limited to):

• Increasing student engagement through literacy
• Building connection and well-being through literary choices
• Facilitating literacy learning through purposeful technology use
• Science of readingfor secondary learners
• Closing the COVID gap
• Championing diversity in politically challenging times
• Public library partnerships
• Meaningful intervention strategies for elementary and secondary readers
• LETRS, 95%, and Reading Motivation

One free conference registration and one free night at the Zermatt Resort will be provided to each presenting group. Each presenter is required to register for the conference.
