Biography

Kim P. Brown is an Associate Professor at Utah Valley University. She received her Master’s degree from Utah State University and eventually earned her position as Associate Professor at Salt Lake Community College. After 22 years teaching at Salt Lake Community College teaching Multimedia courses, she applied for teaching position at Utah Valley University. She accepted a teaching position as an Assistant Professor in 2008, tenured in 2012 and continues to teach as an Associate Professor in the Digital Media department. Currently, she is DGM Department Chair. Her leadership style is to be very involved with administration, faculty and students. She values input and carries out the demands of her team. She is well-liked and values her colleagues ideas and turns them into action.

Being in the classroom is her first love! She is positive and self reliant with solid professional management, teaching experience and training. Many seek her out to present and assist in classroom workshops and seminars. She loves to road bike—cycles and races many events in the area. She lives at home with her husband and three children, Stratton, Baillie and Ryane.
