Biography
Mohammed A. El-Saidi (well known among his colleagues and students as Moh) is presently a Professor of Statistics at Utah Valley University (UVU), Department of Strategic Management and Operations. Moh received his Ph.D. in Applied Statistics from the University of Memphis, a Master of Science (MS) in Mathematical Statistics from the University of Iowa, and a Management Development Program (MDP) from Harvard University. In addition, Moh received a second MS and two Bachelor of Science (B.S) degrees, all in pure and applied Mathematics from the University of Tanta, Egypt.
Moh was the Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs (A-VPAA) and Interim VPAA, both at UVU. Prior to joining UVU, he served as an Academic Dean at Texas A&M University - Central Texas, and Assistant Dean of Assessment at Ferris State University, Michigan.
Moh served in the editorial boards for several international journals and organizations, and has published over 50 papers and books in statistics. His long term research interests are in the areas of approximation of distributions, probability theory, and biomedical statistics. His most recent research interests are in the areas of cancer modeling and higher education teaching modalities.
