Biography

I retired from the Federal Bureau of Investigation on 09/30/2017. Since that time, I have been working as a Private Investigator and an Adjunct Professor of Criminal Law at Utah Valley University.

As an Assistant United States Attorney in the Western District of Texas, I was the lead prosecutor on over 50 criminal trials, violent crimes, money laundering, narcotics and civil forfeiture matters, in federal court. I also defended appeals related to those cases in the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals.

I served as the Chief Division Counsel of the Oklahoma City Field Office, 1998-2001, and the Salt Lake City Field Office, 2005-2007. In that capacity I represented the FBI?s interests in a wide variety of matters and provided training and advice in white collar crime, counterintelligence, and other types of cases. I was also the lead attorney on numerous major federal trial discovery review teams.

I worked as the lead undercover agent in numerous violent crime, white collar crime and child sex tourism matters in the United States and in Southeast Asia from 1997-2017. I served as the Undercover coordinator for the Salt Lake City office of the FBI from 2007-2017
