Dr. Sara Flood

Biography

Dr. Sara J. Flood is a tenured faculty member at Utah Valley University where she currently works in the Department of Biology as an Associate Professor. In the Fall 2015, Dr. Sara Flood left Australia and came to the United States to work as a professor at Utah Valley University. Her prior experience includes teaching at a medical and dental school at The University of Western Australia where she worked with Aboriginal students. At UVU, she teaches courses in dental research, human anatomy and physiology. Her field of research is in Forensic Odontology and currently she has over twenty research students whose projects include: adult age estimation in forensic science using peri-apical radiographs; forensic age estimation in children based on orthopantomograms (OPGs); community dental and public health; fluoride and caries; and Native American Healthcare in the United States.
