I am a 100 percent disabled veteran as designated by the United States Veterans Administration and the United States Army for major life-threatening injuries sustained in Somalia and the Persian Gulf. This is a documented status for which I am required to retain the identification on my person at all times. This is also considered a protected designation for all employment purposes.

The Educator of the Year award is voted upon by graduating students and bestowed during spring Commencement to one faculty member from each of UVU's schools and colleges.
Recognizes an alumnus/alumna who has helped contribute to and/or has furthered the purpose and the mission of the UVU Alumni Association. This award is given to someone who has helped in the growth of the UVU Alumni Association by contributions of time, energy and/or money.
The Bronze Star is the fourth-highest-ranking award a service member can receive for meritorious deeds performed in an armed conflict. No additional information will be shared regarding this or other combat medals.
