Professor Henry is an Associate Professor in the Department of English at Utah Valley University. He obtained his BA and MA degrees in English from Northern Arizona University and obtained his Ph.D. in Rhetoric and Technical Communication from Michigan Technological University. He is currently on the editorial board of Computers and Composition online (an Elsevier publication).
Professor Henry's research focuses on designing documents to be more accessible to special populations and fostering best practices to teach neurodiverse students in writing courses.
Recently, Professor Henry was nominated for the 2022 UVU Student Advocate Award for demonstrating his outstanding commitment to student success. In 2021, he was presented with one of twelve Outstanding Educator of the Year Awards by the UVU Alumni Association. Additionally, Professor Henry has been a recipient of and a nominee for the UVU Faculty Excellence Award. As a high school teacher, Tom was nominated for the Prestigious Disney American Teacher Award.
