Biography

I am a Lecturer in the department of Exercise Science and Outdoor Recreation at Utah Valley University. I teach EXSC 3705 Exercise Physiology Labs and coordinate PES 1097 Fitness for Life courses.

I enjoy sharing my passion for living an active, fulfilling life with my PES 1097 students and exchanging ideas and tools for lifelong health and wellness. I love applying classroom knowledge in the lab with my EXSC 3705 students- it brings me joy to see concepts click in students' minds and spark new questions and lines of research!

My research interests lie in applied human performance and endurance physiology, with an emphasis on ultra-endurance sports. Outside of the classroom or lab, you can find me trail running, backpacking, skiing, or bagging peaks in the Wasatch mountains with my daughter and pups!
