Ms. Karen Mulitalo

Biography

Karen received a Bachelor's of Science and Masters of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Utah. She has over 22 years of experience as a PA educator in numerous institutions in the US and Australia. Her clinical interests are adolescent medicine and primary care for urban underserved. She currently works clinical shifts at Brigham Young University Student Health Center. Her academic interests include PA national workforce trends, healthcare disparities for minority and underserved populations and assessment of professionalism in PA education. Her research interests include disparities for Pacific Islander populations along the Wasatch Front and has worked with the Salt Lake County Health Department in addressing these disparities.

This award recognizes community leadership in assisting the El Chasqui Foundation in their efforts to address Bolivian community needs in the Provo/Orem area and in preserving indigenous arts. It presented in August of 2023.
