After receiving a BFA in illustration from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA in 1992, Dallyn has been working as an illustrator/artist in Utah County. Since then he has received a MAeD from the University of Phoenix. In 2012 he earned an MFA in illustration from The Academy of Art University in San Francisco.
His work has been seen in everything from children?s books to international publications and magazines. He has even done a fair share of graphics for t-shirts for several major resorts around the country.
In 2000 Dallyn discovered his love of teaching after being asked to take over an intro to drawing class as Salt Lake Community College. Since then, he has been teaching drawing, painting, and even graphic design for several different colleges and universities. Currently Mr. Zundel is the graphic arts teacher at Wasatch High School in Heber City, Utah. He is also an adjunct professor for Utah Valley University and for BYU-Idaho.
Dallyn grew up on a potato farm in Southeastern Idaho where he and his father also trained racing quarter horses. The love of horses has never left him even though he is no longer around them nearly as much. He always said that if he wasn?t an artist, he would be racing horses. It was his only other interest in life. Luckily for him, his father still has a few that he races every summer. Painting horses is a way for Zundel to stay connected.
