Jamie Russell

Biography

Dr. Jamie L. Russell is an Associate Professor at Utah Valley University's Department of Nursing. She began her healthcare career as a certified nurse assistant, utilizing that certification and the opportunities it brought as a springboard into the profession. Her background includes over two decades of nursing experience in various patient care environments, including medical, surgical, antepartum, and cardiovascular specialties. In addition to her bedside experience, she has accumulated years of leadership experience by serving as both a clinical nurse educator and nurse manager. Her education consists of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Utah, a Master of Science in Nursing Education from Western Governors University, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice in Organizational Leadership from the University of Utah.
