Biography

Decision case author who previously taught MBAs at Harvard Business School, INCAE, Middlebury, and undergraduate economics at Cambridge University.

Schill founded a company that exited to NASDAQ-listed PRTS and owned a construction firm specializing in mixed-use projects across the Western U.S. In Latin America, he was a foreign government-contracted professor teaching innovation economics to ministers and Heads of State. A McKinsey-contracted consultant, Ryan, also managed marketing in Latin America for a presidential campaign.

Ryan attended Harvard's GSE to serve as a university president in Latin America. He has held roles including Assistant Rector, Senior Creative Director, Department Chair, Entrepreneur Center Director, and René Morales Carazo Endowed Professor in Costa Rica. Schill established entrepreneurship centers, led global executive education programs, and launched the most extensive MBA scholarship for Latin American innovators. He currently serves as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Information Technology Education.

Schill has held fellowships at Babson College, the Max Planck Gesellschaft, and The Technion and was a doctoral researcher at the House of Lords and the Bank of England. He is a former director at the Cambridge-MIT Exchange and a member of the Global Network for Advanced Management initiated by Yale SOM.

Ryan has been a board member of many outdoor equipment companies in the whitewater, skiing, and climbing space. Schill currently advises Grivel.
